South Indian Biryani is a rice-based dish that is popular in the southern states of India, including Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka. Simple Bachelor Chicken Biriyani is delicious and easy to make for beginers.

South Indian biryani is known for its fragrant and mildly spiced rice, which is often mixed with vegetables or meat, and sometimes flavored with coconut milk, curry leaves, and other regional spices. It is typically served with raita (a yogurt-based condiment) or pickle on the side.

While the exact origins of South Indian biryani are unclear, it is believed to have been influenced by the cuisines of neighboring regions such as Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and Indonesia. Additionally, the use of rice in South Indian cuisine dates back to ancient times, with evidence of rice cultivation found in the region as far back as 5000 BCE.

In recent years, South Indian biryani has gained popularity outside of India, with many restaurants and food bloggers around the world featuring their own variations of the dish.
